It’s a Knockout fundraising event for Children’s Heart Surgery Fund

Ten members of the E3R team will be competing in the vintage TV show ‘It’s a Knockout’ to raise money for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, a charity close to E3R’s heart. The fun run takes place on Sunday 25th June at Roundhay Park, Leeds. Although there will be no cameras filming, there will be plenty of water , foam and inflatables for the games and challenges.

Last year the agency took part and finished the Leeds 10k in just over an hour and raised over £1300. The money raised had such a positive impact to the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund E3R made the decision to continue supporting the charity. This year the team hope to raise even more and are aiming for a donation target of £2000.

The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund supports the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit at the Leeds General Infirmary by providing millions of pounds worth of funding which has provided cutting edge equipment, ward facilities, staff positions & training, family accommodation & support and research posts & projects. The charity is continuing to raise funds for a revolutionary children’s heart theatre which will reduce surgery wait times and provide better equipment for more complex operations.

Andrew Pilling, E3 Recruitment Director commented: “The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund is a charity which is close to our hearts, so we jumped at the chance to be involved in this classic obstacle course. Not only are we raising money for a great charity , it looks like it will be a fun day for the E3R team.”
