In April E3 Recruitment (E3R) will be exhibiting at Backing Britain 3.0, a new hybrid innovative exhibition format, set to welcome thousands of visitors to the 3D virtual environment, which will continue to run for the entire year after the event takes place.
Backing Britain 3.0 will also see three in-person events; Wolverhampton on the 26th of April, Derby on the 27th of April and Leeds on the 28th of April, connecting over 300 manufacturers, with talks from industry leaders and celebrity guests.
Backing Britain 3.0 brings together two successful online exhibition formats for The Made in Group – Backing Britain and Made Futures, which promotes manufacturing as a career path to students, young job seekers, and people who have been made redundant, and may not have considered manufacturing as a career beforehand.
Although the overall outlook for manufacturing remains positive, one of the biggest issues it faces is skills shortages, which is why E3R are proud to be the official recruitment partner of Made Futures.
Backing Britain 3.0’s virtual exhibition element has been designed to enable delegates to visit interactive stands online, viewing company information, chatting live to exhibitors, and immersing themselves in 3D virtual factory tours, with the aim of connecting hundreds of manufacturers in an immersive, interactive, and environmentally friendly way.
Commenting on Backing Britain 3.0, James Soden said: “Over the last 18 months businesses have had to propel themselves into digital, whether it be working from home or diversifying their business processes.
“With the advent of industry 4.0 and growth of digital platforms, many manufacturers now require new skills and ways of working to remain competitive in ever-changing and evolving industry landscape – this is why E3R is excited to be part of Backing Britain 3.0.”
Backing Britain 3.0 includes a three-day festival that combines three live face to face networking events and guest speakers:
- Wolverhampton – 26th April – Robert Llewellyn, British actor, comedian, presenter and Ian Gardner, writer and technical specialist, and Industry 4.0 Solutions Architect at IBM.
- Derby – 27th April – Jo Salter, Britain’s first female fast jet pilot, who piloted the Panavia Tornado ground attack aircraft with 617 Squadron.
- Leeds – 28th April – Janet Mui, award-winning commentator, and media spokesperson with over a decade of experience as an economist/strategist.
E3R is a patron partner of The Made in Group, a trade association championing British manufacturing through networking opportunities, online exposure, topical discussions with industry leaders, and recruitment in manufacturing, helping close the UK skills gap.
