On Wednesday 10th October E3R attended the prestigious EEF Annual Dinner at Leeds Town Hall and was headline sponsor for the third year running.
The E3R Directors all attended and hosted two tables with clients’ Sheffield Forgemasters, Ilke Homes, Ibstock Group, Fives Group and Newburgh Precision attending as E3R’s guests.

Speakers at the Dinner included EEF’s Membership Engagement Director North, Richard Halstead and CEO Stephen Phipson who reflected on the challenges manufacturers face with Brexit and the skills gaps, how these can be overcome and the opportunities the industry can grasp with 4IR.
Sheffield City Council’s Edward Highfield shared with guests how they had worked in partnership to bring McLaren Composites Technology Centre to Sheffield, then Jonathan Clement, Head of Commercial Affairs for McLaren shared his and his company’s journey on how they brought their prestigious sports car to the UK’s roads.
Andrew Joseph, E3R Director commented: “It was a great evening which was both educational and celebratory providing an opportunity to build on our existing relationships further and network with other EEF members, celebrating this strong diverse industry.”
